Sunday Morning Fellowship

You’re invited to join us throughout the year for Sunday Morning Fellowship.  On certain Sundays of every month, we gather in the Fellowship Hall outside the sanctuary after the worship service for a time of refreshment and fellowship.  It is an important time of sharing with one another and of building community together.

Coffee Fellowship

1st & 3rd Sunday of every month

(May thru October)

Men’s Monthly Fellowship Breakfast

Men’s ministry is an essential part of relating to other men with questions of faith and how to build on the principles of Scripture to “put on the armor of God” (Ephesians 6: 10-17) when dealing with the world and how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.   You are invited to attend the monthly breakfast held at the Pioneer Pub and Restaurant at 8:30 am on the 3rd Thursday each month.

Seasonal Bible Studies

Ever wonder about something you heard in church or read on your own?  Looking to deepen your understanding and your faith?  Consider joining one of our small group Bible studies!

Our seasonal study groups are a great chance to journey with others outside of Sunday morning worship.  Each small group of about 5 to 7 people meets once a week during the seasons of Advent (December) and Lent (February & March).  We begin our sessions with prayer before sharing in conversation with one another about what we’ve been reading together.

Examples of recent studies include The Journey (Hamilton), Final Words from the Cross (Hamilton), Earn. Save. Give. (Harnish), Awaiting the Already (de Vega), and Creed (Hamilton).

If you want to learn more about our study groups or would like to suggest a particular study focus, please contact the Church Office at (920) 622-3800

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization within the greater United Methodist Church specifically for women whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders, and advocating for justice.  They have a long history of supporting and participating in missional programs related to women, children, and youth around the world.

The ladies of the Wild Rose UMW meet the 1st Thursday of every month in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 1:00 PM.  Gatherings open with a time of food and fellowship followed by a short business meeting.  Afterward, the ladies share in a learning experience together presented by one of their members or an invited special guest.  Some of their annual events include the Ladies Tea & Luncheon (May), the White Elephant Sale (June), UMW Sunday (October), and Christmas Gift Bags for our community shut-ins (December).

All women are invited to participate.  You don’t have to be a United Methodist or a member of our congregation to attend.

Monthly Mission Offering

One of the ways we participate in mission is through the collection of a loose change offering on the 4th Sunday of every month.  This offering (separate from our regular weekly offering) goes to support projects we have chosen that touch the lives of our local, regional, or global community.  Recipients of this offering include the Waushara County Food Pantry, United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Habitat for Humanity, the Wisconsin Annual Conference Ingathering, and many others.

White Elephant Sale

The ladies of the Wild Rose UMW organize and lead our annual White Elephant Sale every June.  Members of the congregation as well as the wider community are invited to bring in donations of new or gently-used items that are put on display and sold.  There are also baked goods, refreshments, and door prizes.  Unsold items are either delivered for auction or returned to the donor (upon request).  Money raised from this event goes toward helping to support the missions and ministry of our congregation.

Ecumenical Vacation Bible School

Every year, our congregation partners with Wild Rose Presbyterian Church, Mt. Morris Lutheran Church, and West Holden Lutheran Church to host a summer Vacation Bible School for children in our community.  The program takes place at Wild Rose Presbyterian Church (501 Jackson Street) and is open to all children.  You do not need to be a member of any of the churches to participate.  Dates and times are announced during the spring of each year.
